Co-curricular Activities

Wangmay Mandal(Marathi Literary Association) :

Every year in the beginning of the session “Marathi Literary Association” is formed, under which various academic programmes for students are organized, such as :-

1. Shuddhalekhan(Punctuation) Workshop,

  • Objective : To improve the writing skills of students in marathi language

  • Methodology : Rules of punctuation and problems are solved by the expert resource persons.

  • Outcome : Many students improved their writing. Students avoided mistakes while writing marathi letters, drafts, answers, etc.

2. Essay And Handwriting Competition:

  • Objective : To improve the handwriting. To motivate writing and thinking

  • Methodology : Faculty members conduct the competition on the given topic and the prizes are given after evaluation of essays. A paragraph is given and observed by faculty, then some important tips are suggested to improve the hand writing.

  • Outcome : students’ interest in writing developed. They also improved in analyzing various local social, regional and national issues.

3. ‘Katta’ Kavitecha(Poster Poetry):

  • Objective : To encourage students for reading, thinking and writing good poems.

  • Methodology : Poems of renowned poets are displayed on notice board and students do read and learn from.

  • Outcome : Students started writing poems and express own views happily on the poems.

4. ‘Srujan’ Project:

  • Objective : To aware them about various types of literature and to inspire them to read and write

  • Methodology : Students are asked to prepare a project on litereture of recognised writers

  • Outcome : Students’ interest in marathi literature is increased

5. ‘Hitguj’: A Counseling Centre:

  • Objective : To make counseling on personal problems, difficulties faced and career planning. To suggest solutions to the problems

  • Methodology : Faculty members made students’ counseling and provided them some inspiring literature so as to tackle some critical issues. Girls are oriented by female faculty, they are also provided help and moral support to resolve their personal problems

  • Outcome : Many of the students became serious about career development and started thinking positively about personal life.

6. Educational Tour:

  • Objective : To aware them about origin and working places of great saints in the region and collect some important literature.

  • Methodology : Educational tours are arranged to the places of Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Maharaj Ashram at Mozri, dist. Amravati or Mahanubhav Ashram or Gadge Baba Karmbhumi

  • Outcome : Many students wrote and published the articles in magazines and newspapers

7. “Vakrtuttva Kala Vikas Mandal”: Presentation Skills Development Activity:

  • Objective : To prepare students to develop the oratory and presentation skills.

  • Methodology : Elocution and debate programmes are organized in the class on the particular theme.

  • Outcome : Many students participated in debate and elocution competitions held at University / regional/ state level competitions and came out with flying colours. Thereby students develop their overall personality.

8. Selfy Poetry:

  • Objective : Opportunities to published poem through google You-Tube

  • Methodology : Students write their own poem and display it on google website.

  • Outcome : Many students came forward and published their poem. As a result day by day received overwhelming response from students
